Create Block Diagrams

How To: Create a Functional Block Diagram

Assumes if using the Professional or Enterprise versions that you have created a New Project and that you have created a New Drawing.

1. Open the Equipment Library by clicking Tools>Equipment>Equipment Library.
2. Select a piece of equipment to add to the drawing. If the device you need is not in the database, see [ here ] for more about adding equipment to the library.
3. Select which Inputs and Outputs to display. If you want to display them all, then skip this step.
4. Click <Add This Item to Drawing>.
5. For now, skip this step to Assign a SysName.
6. Place the device in the drawing.
7. Lather, rinse, repeat until you have all of the devices added to the drawing.
8-. Start drawing cables by clicking Draw Cables on the Draw Cables toolbar. Select the Output followed by the Input. Lather, rinse, repeat. Note: for more information about drawing cables see [ here ].
