Object Snaps (OSnaps)

Function:

An object snap(Osnap) mode specifies a snap point at an exact location on an object. Osnap specifies running object snap modes, which remain active until you turn them off.

Note: OSnaps changes are transparent and can be changed while another command is active.

All Off

Toggles all OSnaps off.

Endpoint

Snaps to the end point of a Line of Polyline.

Midpoint

Snaps to the mid point of a Line or Polyline.

Center

Snaps to the center of an Arc, Circle, or Ellipse.

 

Insertion

Snaps to the insertion point of an Insert.

Perpendicular

Snaps at a right angle to a Line or Polyline.

Nearest

Snaps to the nearest point on any entity.

Note: This will override all other OSnaps.

Apparent Intersection

Snaps to the apparent intersection of two lines(they do not need to actually intersect, but must be able to. If not the OSnap will not appear.

Node (point)

Snap to a Point entity.

Quadrant

Snap to the quadrant of an Arc or Circle.

 

Tangent

Snap tangentially to an Arc, Circle or Ellipse.

Intersection

Snaps to the intersection of any two entities.
