Moving Projects

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The process of moving a project involves four steps. Because WireCAD maintains pointers to each drawing that is opened while a Project is active, and because those drawings can reside anywhere on the machine or network, we must first copy or move the drawings to a known location. This process is referred to as Consolidation. We first Consolidate the project using the Pack Up and Go function which copies or moves the drawings to the Project Drawings folder. Next we move the project folder in its entirety and Link using the Unpack Existing Project. Next you must relaunch WireCAD to sync with the incoming Equipment Library.
