Function:

Edit the appearance of the open report file.

 

The Report Designer provides a set of tools for placing Labels, Fields, Shapes, Images, etc. on the layout. Click the tool in the toolbar or menu that you wish to use and Place the item in the appropriate report section.

 

If you are inserting a bound field, you can simply drag the field from the Fields list and drop it on the appropriate Report Section.

If you are inserting any other control, select the icon on the toolbar and draw a bounding rectangle on the appropriate Report Section. Then select it and edit its properties to suit.
