Circuit Finder

Menu: Databases>Project Cables>Cables -- <Circuit Finder>

Default keyboard shortcut: None

Function:

Displays a dialog that searches for chains of cables between one output and an input or inputs. this function searches the cables database and returns a series of cables based on the function's ability to follow a cable through devices. The search criteria are as follows:

1. The cables must be of the same signal type.

2. In order for a cable to proceed through a device there must be a numeric match or exact string match between input and output. For example, a circuit will be assumed through A-16 to B-16 if the signal type is the same. Jack fields and punch blocks that use a straight number sequence will not return a match.
