Open Project

Menu: Project>Open Project...

Default Keyboard Shortcut: None.

Function:

Open WireCAD projects using the new this new function.

Each project is organized into a series of folders on your local hard drive or on a network share.

You may use the projectdb.mdb to open a project or the new *.wcproj file that is part of a WireCAD v5 project. The *.wcproj file must reside in the topmost project file while the projectDB.mdb must reside in the Project Folder\Project Databases\ folder.

 

Q: What is the difference between the Open Project function and the Unpack Existing Project function?

A: The Open Project function assumes that this project originated on this machine with the current Global Equipment database, whereas the Unpack Existing Project function attempts to synchronize with the Global Equipment database the was packed with this project before moving.
