Installation

Batch Plotter comes with an installer. As long as you have already installed WireCAD on the target machine, the installer will find the appropriate paths and install all files for you.


FAQ

Q: Can Batch Plotter output to pdf.
A: Not at this time.

Q: How is Batch Plotter Licensed?
A: Per machine. Once you purchase you will receive an email with download and key information.

Q: Is there a trial period?
A: No. This is a simple utility. If you have ever had to output a WireCAD project one drawing at a time you know you need it. Check out the screen shots and help documentation to get an understanding of Batch Plot before purchasing.

Q: Can Batch Plot collate multiple copies?
A: No. Not at this time.

Q: How is Batch Plot supported?
A: Via email to support@buzzworks.tv and the WireCAD online forums.

Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Yes. If you decide within 15 days that the plugin does not work for you, you may request a refund. Please contact support@buzzworks.tv to request a refund.

Q: Does Batch Plot only work with plotters?
A: No Batch Plot only queues up the drawing layouts and prints them in the selected order. WireCAD drawing layouts use the Windows printer drivers.


Getting Started

  1. Download and Install Batch Plot
  2. If WireCAD is already running, click Plugins>Plugin Manager then click [Rescan and Reload All].
  3. If WireCAD is not running the start it. You will see the Batch Plot Icon appear in the loaded plugins on the splash screen.
  4. Open a project.
  5. Open your drawings and set up at least one layout by clicking File>Print Preview and selecting a printer and all the desired settings. Save your drawing(s).
  6. Open Batch Plot by clicking Plugins>Batch Plot.
  7. Click File>New BatchPlot File. This scans the project drawings and adds each drawing and all its layouts to the Batch Plot tool. This can take some time if you have a large project with big drawings.
  8. Select Plot This for each layout that you want to plot/print. You can preview any layout by selecting the layout record and the clicking the [Print Preview] button.
  9. If you are happy with all your settings, click the [Print] button or File>Print/Plot Selected they do the same thing.
