The "Generic" ManufacturerID does not show up in the drop down list when trying to add a generic cable to the cable types database. There exists a dozen or so Generic cable types already in the list (most of them fiber). Is there a reason I cannot add to this manufacturerID?

Open the Manufacturers grid. Find the Generic manufacturer and set its DisplayInCableTypes = true.
