I get questions all the time to provide basic information about equipment that isn't sold yet for a projects.
We already have a report that displays all the datasheets for the equipment in the project.
Is it possible to get a button in the global database that opens a report that show the datasheet for the selected equipment item?

Yes. Use the [Attach Document] function on either the global Equipment Grid or the Equipment Library.
Once attached the document can be opened just by clicking on the link in the database. See the attached pic.

Nice Feature, I will use this for sure! Is there also a way to manage all the documents. For example select all datasheets from a manufacturer? For Example: Some Datasheets have are describing 5 speakers. Is it possible to search?
i was mention something slightly different. I like to have a standard Datasheets format to present all the data from the global database. is there a way to show one line out of the global equipment database to present with a report?

This is an example for a datasheet that i just made for a customer. They want to see if the display fits there needs so we want to send it together with the offer.
We like to have one layout for our datasheets. Like the example.
The way i do this now is:
- select the equipment in the global database and put it to the project database (This feels wrong because it's you yet sold.)
- make a BOM list and then remove all the other equipment to get only the equipment that i want. (because the report is made up from the BOM List)
- run the report for our datasheets
- E-Mail As..
- Save the file on a temp location
- Email it to the customer
Is it possible to send a datasheet report right from the global database? Of course i need to make changes in the report.
- OR -
I mention the Quote system once. This would be a very nice feature for the quotes. So i can make the quotes with equipment, run the bom list for the quote and make a datasheet for the full quote.
Send the quote to the project manager to get a price and then send it to the customer?
2 More Questions:
When i send a report i need to first save the output to my computer, why is this? Is it possible to save the file to a Temp location when I cancel the save Form so i don't need to save it?
